Meet the Board of Directors

Sarah Eckhardt, Director

Sarah Eckhardt has directed Main Street since 2019. She has helped bring vitality back to our Historic District. With the help of the Main Street Board and Committees, her goal is to continue to grow Woodward's commercial district into a thriving and revitalized place for businesses and the local community. Originally from Texas, Sarah moved to Oklahoma 22 years ago and has made Woodward her home. 

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her six children, five grandchildren, tending to her garden, enjoying her friends company and camping across Oklahoma in her RV. 

Jennifer Thompson, President

Meet Jennifer Thompson, owner of Modern Appliance and Main Street Board President. Jennifer joined the Main Street board in 2017 and helped move the program toward reaccredidation. It started with the Christmas Parade, which is a Main Street Event which needed an organizer, and she stepped seamlessly into the role. She has helped the program grow and is working hard toward the mission of historic preservation and economic development for our downtown. 

Jennifer, a Woodward native, and husband, Matt, moved to Woodward 12 years ago when Matt finished his military career. Modern Appliance has been a family business for 50 years and was started by Jennifer's grandfather, continued by her parents, and is now moving into the future with their third generation and expansion of their brand new warehouse. Since buying the business, Matt and Jennifer have held to the values that have kept the business thriving all this time and have expanded their service department into the Enid area. Honesty and fairness continue to be their core values and it is why people continue to shop at Modern Appliance. 

 

Sarah Boyce, Vice President

Sarah Boyce, co-owner of Boyce Electric & Lighting Store with her husband, serves as the Vice President as well as Chair to the Promotions Committee. In 2019 she was awarded Volunteer of the Year Award for her outstanding volunteer hours decorating, planning, and being a jack-of-all-trades for Main Street. Her specialty is decorating and event planning, and after years of helping family and friends, she and a friend decided to open Fairy Godmother Rental & Event Planning, the premier event rental company in Woodward where she was born and raised.  

When she isn't planning her next big event, she can be found spending time with their five children and many spare children, crafting, or organizing her next big adventure. 

 

Andra Smith, Treasurer

Andra Harris-Smith is a longtime resident of Northwest Oklahoma. She and her husband, Don, have made Woodward their home since 2005, and are active in both their church and community. They have 4 daughters and 10 very active grandchildren.  Andra was a partner in QB Resources, LLC and managed the Woodward office from 2009 through 2017. She has over 38 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation and is also a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. Andra has conducted several seminars on various QuickBooks programs has trained both new and established businesses in the set-up and use of the program. 

Through the years Andra has helped many new businesses get started in Northwest Oklahoma, from the initial set-up and financing to registrations and training in bookkeeping routines, budgeting, forecasting, payroll and time management. It has always been her goal to help new and small businesses become successful and self-reliant.

Andra is the current Business & Entrepreneurial Services Coordinator for High Plains Technology Center as well as Treasurer for the Woodward Main Street Program and a member of the Tri-State Oil and Gas Convention Committee. 

Andra enjoys working with both new and existing small business to help their business grow and the owners realize their dreams.

 

Elizabeth Terry, Secretary 

 

Elizabeth Terry grew up a small town girl in Stigler, Oklahoma. After graduation, she moved to Colorado where she attended college at Colorado Mesa University. She moved back to Oklahoma in 2011 and began her career in the insurance industry working for Metlife. In 2019 Elizabeth, her husband and two children made Woodward their home. In 2020 Elizabeth and her business partner, Jill Huff, opened their own insurance agency on Main Street, Omni Financial Group LLC. She recently added another little one to their family in 2022 and now hold the secretary seat on our Board of Directors. She belives our Main Street program is one that others should model after and looks forward to contributing to the revitalization of our Downtown.

 

Rachel Scott 

Rachel Scott is the owner of Southern Roots Sisters which specializes in wholesale and retail gourmet foods. Her product is found in over 150 stores nationwide as well as the newest venture of exporting globally. A strong believer in thinking positively in the workplace and trying new things, Rachel seeks to expand her product reach into new places. She is a proud member of the Made in Oklahoma Coalition where they are dedicated to building up agricultural based companies in our state. She and her husband own Woodward House of Bounce, a local inflatable rentals company for parties and events. 
Rachel is a board member of Main Street and is the chair of our Organizational Committee. She has been on the Steering Committee for Food Truck Wars for the last two years and brought in different trucks from all over the great state of Oklahoma for our city to enjoy. She and her husband, Hunter Scott, designed and built our Main Street Community Garden, which has brought free fruits and vegetables to the members of our community for the last three years. 
Born and raised in Texas and becoming a Northwest Oklahoma transplant has been on of the greatest adventures of her life. Outside of work, Rachel can be found spending time with her husband, Hunter, and two boys, Noah and Sawyer. She enjoys cooking, gardening, camping, reading, and is always open to learning new things.

  

Angie Lehman

Originally from California, Angie moved to Oklahoma as a teen and graduated from High School in Wayne, OK.  She then received her B.S. in Elementary Education from East Central University, Ada, OK.  Ada is where she met her husband, R. Troy Lehman, in 1989.  They were married in 1990.  Together they have 4 children; Aubrie (28), Taylor (26), Trey (23), and Ashtyn (21). Aubrie has blessed them with one grandchild, Rylie.  After Dr. Lehman graduated Medical School, they moved to Grand Rapids, MI for residency.  Once completed, in 2003 they moved to Ardmore, OK to begin his journey as an OB/GYN.  They started a private practice in 2007 in Ardmore before moving it to Woodward in June 2011.  Realizing their clientele was changing and seeing a need for more services in the area, they decided to rebrand the OB/GYN practice into a Med Spa.  In March 2019 they purchased an office building and built New Life Med Spa.  Dr. Lehman and Angie are co-owners, while Angie is also the Office Manager.   They continue to add products and services to New Life Med Spa, while also still providing the only residency trained Obstetrical and Gynecological care in NW Oklahoma.

 In her spare time, Angie likes to craft, read, scuba dive, take beach vacations and spend lots of time with family and friends.  She is also a partner in another business, Fairy Godmother’s Event Planning and Rental, with her friend Sarah Boyce.

Larry Hill

Larry is Oklahoma born and raised. He and his family have happily made Woodward their home. Larry is a man living his passion and greatly enjoys creating and instructing others in art.
Larry currently serves on our Main Street Board of Directors as well as the Chair of our Design Committee. He brings outside of the box thinking to our Main Street events and meetings.
Larry offers Art and Pottery classes in his studio. He also offers groups classes for Birthday Parties and more.
His advice is to keep those brushes wet. 

 

Kevin Cansler

Born and raised in Western Oklahoma, Kevin grew up with Farm/Ranch work ethic helping with the family farm.  After graduating from Gould High School, Gould, OK, Kevin went on to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Elem. Education from Oklahoma State University and Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond, OK.    Kevin’s Education career included teaching five years (Coyle Public Schools) and fifteen years in public school administration as Principal/Superintendent (Panama and Duke Public Schools).   Kevin met his wife Melissa (teacher) in 1994 while teaching and began their journey together in the summer of 1996. They have 3 children, Carson, Kellen, and Corbin.    Although Kevin does not work for the public school systems, he continues to educate and serve his community by providing insurance and financial services across multi generations  throughout all of Oklahoma as a State Farm Agent in Woodward, OK.  As a State Farm Agent, Kevin enjoys taking the time to sit down with his customers to help them manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams.

Kyle Johnson

 

Kyle is a highly regarded real estate broker and a businessman of the Woodward, Oklahoma community. With over 5 years of experience in the real estate industry and 8 years in the jewelry industry, he has established a trusted reputation for providing exceptional service and a deep understanding of the local market. As a devoted family person, Kyle values the importance of community involvement and giving back. Kyle has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to business growth in Woodward and has been instrumental in promoting economic development initiatives. As a valued board member, Kyle brings a wealth of expertise, a passion for service and a dedication to the betterment of the community to our Main Street Board of Directors.

Manda Wheeler

 Manda is a Marketing and PR Specialist for Pioneer in Woodward. She has worked for Pioneer since April of 2018. She met her husband, Zack, in 2010 in Washington during college. They were married in 2013 and now have two children, Arick and Harper. Manda graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Business with a minor in Marketing. Her husband is an Assistant Wind Site Manager for Enel Energy. Manda's in laws, Eric and Dana Wheeler are the proud owners of Compass Athletics on Main Street. Manda enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with friends and family as much as possible.
